چکیده
Themost significant consequences of diabetic foot problems are ulcerations and amputations. ▶ Between 0.8 and 10% of all people with diabetes mellitus suffer from a foot ulcer. ▶ The annual rate of new diabetic foot cases is between 2.2 and 5.9 %. ▶ Germany is in the upper range of European countries with its rate of over 60000 amputations per year. Approximately 70% of all amputations are performed on patients with diabetes mellitus.
